Stranded Mafia

I'll be hosting a small mafia game about Stranded ;D! This is to hopefully get players to come everyday and be more active.

Now if you don't know what a mafia is, I shall explain the original, most basic mafia, in general.

Two teams: Mafia and Town
Two phases: Day and Night

The Town wants to kill the Mafia.
The Mafia wants to kill the Town.

The Town is much larger than the Mafia.
The Mafia actually know who are their teammates.

In Day, talk as much as you want, and try to determine who is who. You can lie, search through posts for clues, attempt to control discussion, and even claim what role you are.
By the end of the day, you must vote one person to die. At the end of the day, this person is referred to as lynched, and is eliminated.

In Night, nobody talks. The Mafia however, are allowed to converse through Private Messages, containing information of any sort. By the end of Night, the Mafia need to agree on one person to kill. This person's name and role will be revealed the next day.

This cycle goes on until one side is destroyed.

HOWEVER, that is a pure mafia game, known as a "vanilla'" mafia. This game will include some extra abilities known as "Power Roles" in the roles that some players are allowed to use at Night.

This is the setup I shall use:

Mafia

Raider: Can vote who to kill at Night.
Sailor: Can vote who to kill at Night. In addition can investigate the role of one player every night.

Town

5x Survivors: Regular Townies

RANDOMLY CHOSEN TWO ROLES OUT OF THESE FOUR TO BE GIVEN TO THE REMAINING TWO PLAYERS:

Architect: Protects a player from a kill at Night, but in addition stops them from performing any action they might have performed.
Guard: Protects a player from a kill at Night.
Forager: Can investigate the role of a player at Night.
Survivor: Regular Townie

Rules

No editing of posts.
No giving of information after death.
No private messaging during day.
No posting screenshots.

Did you know I once started hosting them myself, on another forum? It was very succesful. I hosted about 30 games I guess.

Werewolf: Ultimate edition! For like over 100 people, pure sweet epicness. Yeah, note, Werewolf = Mafia. The rules are the same, the setting isn't. Mafia is like... Police, and Werewolf is like "omg werewolves".

And yeah, a lot of forum game forums have those pointless games which one or two I am fine with, but in the beginning I want to leave the impression of something more than that. If I can't help with anything on the game at least I can entertain you all here D;

I also hang out on Kongregate's forum games forum and the community and quality of games there used to be quite good, and so I know how most of this will work.

You seem like you have experiance running these kinds of games lol. I'll ask you about stuff after the game to avoid any possible complications.

And holy crackers, I have never played Werewolf with over a hundred people. 10 other guys, not 100. That sounds too much to keep up lol.

Game hasn't started yet, so I am neither alive or dead. I haven't played with 100 people either, but I play the Werewolf games a lot with my friends. The experience is other on forums tough.

You can find a lot of nice roles on the internet. Keep the first game simple tough

BTW... Maybe it's nice if you convert it in a Stranded-like setting. Instead of Townies you have survivors or something - but yeah, it's your game.

Hey, I have a nice idea! Create a Lua script to divide the roles

I also converted cops to Sailer and Forager, Jailkeeper as Architect, and Guard as Doctor.

Well, I guess we have to wait until this is full. But, you should play with at least 8 members - 2 "evil" and the rest friendly.
